History: Samantha's cousin Elli had a tragic childhood, after her father murdered her mother, then committed suicide in front of her, Samantha's parents adopted Elli and they became very close, until Samantha's parent's and brother died, in a automobile accident while she was attending college. Samantha falls into a deep depression and develops schizophrenic tendencies.  Elli and Jonas stay by her side trying to help her however, it is not until Jonas reveals his love for her that her suicidal tendencies begin to fade.
